Sunny is a couple & family therapist and an analytic psychotherapist. She has been working with individuals, couples and families for the past 28 years.

Sunny has worked in the field of trauma, including sexual, physical, mental and emotional abuse. Her interests include attachment disorders and how the traumatic experiences in childhood impinges on the development of ones self and feeling of well- being. These traumatic experiences arrest a person’s developmental processes in such a way that one experiences difficulties in relationships, suffers from depression and anxiety, as well as other forms of psychopathology. Sunny is also interested in infant-parent attachment formation, eating disorders and dissociative disorders.

Qualifications
Sunny has been trained as an analytic Psychotherapist with ANZAP and further to this training, she continued with analytic training in couple therapy. She attained her Masters in Couple and Family Therapy from UNSW, having initially graduated from UNSW in 1988 with a Bachelor of Social Work. Sunny is an Authorised Clinician with the NSW Children’s Court Clinic. She provides psychosocial assessments for children and mental health assessments for families and individuals. She also serves as a part-time Member for the NSW Mental Health Review Tribunal.
