Profile Robyn Tuft

 

Robyn Tuft 

Master of Christian Counselling, Wesley Institute. 

 

Robyn has been counselling clients since 2003, including at Wesley Institute, Lindfield Ministry Centre, The Salvation Army at Rhodes and New Horizons Counselling at Ryde.  She has been in practice at Macquarie Clinic since October, 2006.

Robyn works individually with adults or relationally with couples.

She utilises a number of counselling models including psychodynamic therapy, emotional focus therapy, psychodrama/ sandplay, transactional analysis and family systems therapy.

She has also completed training in dissociative disorders through the International Society for Stress, Trauma and Dissociation and EMDR training under the Shapiro method.

·    anxiety & stress management, including OCD

·    dissociative identity disorder

·    post-traumatic stress disorder

·    relationship difficulties

·    grief and loss

 

Qualifications

She has a Graduate Diploma and Master of Christian Counselling and is currently completing postgraduate studies in Psychology. She has also lectured in Research Methods at Wesley Institute.

Robyn entered counselling later in life after building up an environmental consultancy in aquatic ecology and water management, to which she still retains a part-time involvement. She enjoys a number of nature based activities such as bushwalking, cross-country skiing and cycling.

Robyn is married with two adult children. She attends Northridge Vineyard Church, Thornleigh.
