Having worked for 30 years in a wide variety of fields I have vast experience in a full range of therapies and counselling situations. I work with cognitive and psychodynamic treatments, and have endeavoured to train widely, utilising all skills and techniques to completely approach human issues and disorders, both personal and social, including courses in Family Therapy, Hypnotherapy, EMDR Levels I an II, Conflict Negotiation, and Management Training. My Masters degree was by research into Comparative Therapeutic Usefulness.
The following areas are a few of the treatment situations that I work in: Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Trauma and PTSD, Grief, Relationship Issues, Stress, Systemic conflict and Team Management, Sexual Abuse, Personality Disorders, Dissociative Identity Disorder, Childhood Abuse/Trauma, Emotional vulnerability and Self Esteem issues, Adult Psychosocial health, Child, adolescent and family issues.
Qualifications: Graduating from Sydney University in 1972 with a Bachelor of Social Studies and in 1988 with a Clinical Masters Degree in Social Work, I have worked in a large variety of fields of employment. I have had almost 30 years experience, including working with mental health, disability, families and children, couples and intensive psychotherapy, and have lectured for the Health Department, the Institute of Psychiatry, and Morling College. I am a Clinical Member of the Australian Association of Social Workers and an accredited Counsellor with the Victims of Crime Bureau. Accreditation number is A00159.
